Trading as Moore Solutions Terms & Conditions

By paying a deposit, accepting a quote, or instructing Moore Solutions to proceed, the Client acknowledges and agrees to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Quotes & Acceptance
• Quotes are valid for 30 calendar days unless otherwise stated.
• Acceptance of a quote can be made via deposit payment or email confirmation referencing the quote.
• Moore Solutions may revise the quote if deposits or approvals are received outside the quote validity period.
• Quotes are based on information provided at the time; any changes requested by the client may incur additional charges.

2. Deposits & Payment
• A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the order and schedule installation.
• Balance is due on completion of installation, but may be paid in instalments, provided the final balance is received by the agreed date.
• Moore Solutions reserves the right to request part-payment for any additional cameras, equipment, or services requested after the deposit but prior to the final balance.
• Equipment remains the property of Moore Solutions until full payment is received.

3. Scheduling & Site Readiness
• The client must notify Moore Solutions when the site is ready for installation.
• Installation can be scheduled anywhere from 7 days to 3 months, depending on Moore Solutions’ availability, public holidays, leave, and other bookings.
• Installation timelines may be affected by site conditions, troubleshooting, supply delays, or other projects.

4. Variations & Adjustments
• Any requested changes to the original scope, including camera locations or coverage areas, are considered variations and may incur additional costs.
• On-site verbal approval is binding.
• Moore Solutions is not liable for coverage gaps, faults, or blind spots resulting from client-directed changes.

5. Contractors & Subcontractors
• Moore Solutions may engage licensed subcontractors for electrical, data cabling, alarms, intercoms, or other works.
• Moore Solutions remains responsible for the overall project delivery.

6. System Settings, Passwords & Access
• After final payment and handover, all passwords, accounts, and system access are the client’s responsibility.
• Any changes made by the client without Moore Solutions’ authorisation void warranties and may incur call-out fees.
• After-hours, weekend, or public holiday support may incur additional charges.

7. Warranty, Future Work & Software Upgrades
• Labour/Installation Warranty: 12 months from completion; covers defects in workmanship only. Does not cover equipment failure, misuse, or third-party interference.
• Equipment Warranty: Per manufacturer; Moore Solutions passes on claims but is not liable for indirect losses.
• Post-installation requests, including moving cameras, reconfiguration, or decommissioning, are chargeable services.
• Moore Solutions provides 24/7 online tutorials to reduce unnecessary call-outs.
• Software upgrades: Clients may install upgrades via remote access. If Moore Solutions must attend the site to perform upgrades, standard call-out and labour charges apply.

8. Property Damage During Installation
• Moore Solutions is responsible for any damage directly caused by installation, including accidental holes, broken fixtures, or foot-through ceilings.
• Repair work, including plastering and painting, will be covered if Moore Solutions did the damage.
• All repairs/costs will be discussed and agreed with the client prior to completion.

9. Security retrieval footage & Legal Requests
• Clients are responsible for managing surveillance footage after handover.
• Requests for footage for legal, coronial, criminal, or insurance purposes may incur call-out/data retrieval fees.
• Moore Solutions complies with Surveillance Devices Act 2004 (Qld) and Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

10. Ownership & Liability
• All equipment remains property of Moore Solutions until full payment is received.
• Tampering with or removing equipment before payment is unlawful.
• Systems improve security but cannot guarantee prevention of crime, theft, or damage.

11. Client Responsibilities
• Clients must provide safe access to the site for installation and service.
• Clients must follow online tutorials and operational guides before requesting on-site support.
• Clients must inform Moore Solutions of any required variations before installation or service work begins.

12. Legal Compliance
Moore Solutions operates in accordance with all applicable legislation, including:
• Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010) – guarantees services are provided with due care and skill.
• Electrical Safety Act 2002 (Qld) – ensures licensed and safe electrical work if & when required.
• Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 (Qld) – governs payments for construction-related work.
• Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) – installation and services performed safely.
• Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2001 (Qld) – governs dispute resolution.
• Surveillance Devices Act 2004 (Qld) & Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) – governs use and management of surveillance systems.

13. Dispute Resolution
• Disputes must first be raised in writing.
• If unresolved, matters may be referred to QCAT or other legal authorities.

15. Right to Cease Work
• Moore Solutions reserves the right to cease installation or service work immediately if the client:
o Behaves abusively, aggressively, or irresponsibly toward Moore Solutions staff or subcontractors.
o Fails to adhere to these Terms & Conditions; or
o Creates an unsafe or hostile environment during installation or service.
• Any costs incurred due to suspension, rescheduling, or additional safety measures may be charged to the client.
• Work will only resume once Moore Solutions determines that the site and client behaviour are safe and compliant with Terms & Conditions.

14. Acknowledgement
I, the undersigned, confirm that I:
• Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
• Agree to the quote, deposit, and scheduled installation.
• Understand warranties, fees, and post-installation responsibilities.
• Acknowledge relevant Queensland and Commonwealth Acts apply.
